The Central Queensland Regional Planning and Infrastructure Framework (“CQ Framework”) overarching project objectives are to:
- facilitate optimum service delivery to Queensland communities into the future by making needs and priorities clear;
- effectively contribute and participate in Queensland’s regional economies by providing information to the market and flagging reform and investment opportunities for improved productivity, governance, and efficiencies;
- better manage economic, environmental and social planning consistent with regional communities of interest by establishing a shared position and management framework on the current situation and also the key regional planning issues for the future; and
- effectively partner with other levels of government to ensure sustainable and viable communities; and lay a foundation of collaboration that creates opportunities for partnerships in efforts to address specific priorities (e.g. shared procurement).
