Support from BMA is enabling the CQLGA to make a positive difference to CQ's future environment through the EarthSmart Schools Program. The EarthSmart Schools program fosters long term benefits for the environment and future generations through waste management education and practical projects. Through this program schools:

• can reduce their waste by up to 50%
• can become Recycling Heroes for their local communities
• can get hands on with recycling, composting, worm farming and nude food programs

Participating schools engage in a fun way to learn about the importance and positive outcomes for waste minimisation practices. All EarthSmart Schools are positively contributing to the important world issues of waste management and environmental sustainability. The program represents a great achievement for all involved.
